We have designed an optional piece of equipment to work in conjunction with the R.T.V. series of tanks. This is a Quickmelting unit. It provides a melt down rate of approximately 35lbs (16 kilos) of compound per hour, depending upon the grade and condition of the material being melted.

The Quickmelter is used by placing it on top of the tank cover above the open aperture. The compound is placed in the hopper and then forced through a thermostatically heated grill and in to the holding tank below. This maintains the required temperature for pouring. On the R.T.V. 12 and R.T.V.20 models two Quickmelters can be used, or, if required, they can be added at a later date.
