This is a range of tanks of various capacities, fabricated from mild steel with a heavy aluminium casting inside for even heat distribution and a long life. Industrial metal sheathed heating elements are fitted that offer rapid and even heat transfer. The outer case is kept cool with 2” fibre glass insulation and a top cover is supplied with an inspection flap for stirring the compound. The tank is mounted on metal support legs that give a ground clearance of approximately 35 cms and in the bottom is a 4cms bore draw off valve, with a simple lever action for pouring. All control gear is housed in a mild steel control box at the end of the tank and there is an air gap to reduce undue temperature in the controls. Controlling thermostats are fitted and are adjustable over a range of temperatures. Units can be wired for both single and three phase supply.
